New officer appointments from the National Fastener Distributors Association. Jim Degnan of S.W. Anderson has been elected as the 2023-2024 president. Scott McDaniel of TR Fastenings will serve as vice president, Mike Robinson will serve as associate chair, and Nick Ruetz of AIS will remain on the Board as immediate past president.

In Supply Chain news from Reuters…It appears that a labor deal has been struck at the West Coast Ports. The threat of disruptions has receded as dockworkers and port employers reached a tentative agreement on a new contract last week. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) employer group said they have reached a tentative deal on a new six-year contract, ending 13 months of talks and easing supply chain worries. The deal was reached with assistance from Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Julie Su.
